The colts form the link between the senior and junior games, we have gathered together a strong management
and coaching team that have provided the forum for developing players to enjoy their rugby as well as improving their individual and team skills.
In the later part of the season older players who want to sample the challenge of the senior game will be offered the chance and encouraged to play for the Seconds (Canterbury League) or even the Firsts (SW 1!)

The squad is formed from last year’s U16s and U17s plus some newcomers, team selection is based on merit, performance and commitment rather than age.

We always welcome new players to add strength and depth to the team. Whatever your playing ability.

Following on from previous years’ successes - last year we reached the semi finals of the national under 17s cup and won the Dorset and Wilts U17s. This year we hope to do better and to provide you with the opportunity to improve your rugby and compete at the highest level possible.

Bournemouth players are found throughout the D&W County youth teams, last year the 16s and 17s provided 9! We hope to continue this fine tradition. One of last year's 18s is now a regular in the 1st XV and 3 play for the 2nds. The seniors are very keen to offer match time to those Colts players who want the experience of men's rugby but not at the expense of your own team.

We are fielding two teams in the D&W Colts merit table as well as the D&W U17 and U18 Knock-Out cups.

This gives us a full fixture list but we have space for friendlies and experimentation as well

We train at Chapel gate 6:30 till 8:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We do understand that not everyone is able to come to every session but we do hope they will - especially before matches.

The first part of our session is spent developing skill and fitness with our senior players before we split of as a combined squad to practice tactics and strategy for specific games.

The players couldn't be a friendlier bunch, and will welcome you without reservation, so why not bring some kit with you and start straight away
