Meet the SOUTHERN SPORTS Senior Staff

Junior Paramore

Won 29 caps for Samoa and played in three World Cup competitions. He also represented Samoa in their 7s side and New Zealand in theirs. He has played in the Guinness Premiership, Heineken Cup and won the Powergen Cup in 2003 whilst playing for Gloucester. Junior is widely regarded as one of the best ball handling, hard running loose forwards in the game. He brings the flair and toughness of the Pacific Island style of play to his coaching game, the skills he has to share are truly unique.

David Dunn.

Is one of the country’s elite coaches, having gained the RFU Level 4 coaching award. His impressive experience of the game has seen him coach the England Schools side between 2000 and 2005 and England Junior national Academy camps both at home and overseas. He is the Director of Coaching at Bournemouth Rugby Club and for a number of years was Head Coach of the Dorset and Wilts Senior XV. His expertise and vast knowledge of the game has lead to him mentoring individual players up to international level. He is highly regarded by his peers.

Robert Todd.

A fellow team mate of Junior’s at Gloucester, Rob adds to the Southern Hemisphere flavour. He has played in the English
Premiership since 1997 and is known for his Island style hard tackling and powerful running, which he developed from playing rugby in his native New Zealand from the age of four. Rob has played in and won the Guinness Premiership with Sale Sharks in 2006 and won the Powergen Cup in 2003. Like Junior, he has played against the best in Europe in the Heineken Cup. He represented New Zealand All Blacks under 21s before joining the ACT Brumbies in 1996.

Ngapaku Ngapaku (Pucs).

Another Samoan who has played for his country and also represented New Zealand at Touch Rugby. Pucs coached and
played in New Zealand and Italy before coming to England where he was player/coach at Havant. He is now a regular member of the Bournemouth Lions side.

Our core coaches have been fortunate to have competed and coached at the Elite end of their game and are all qualified RFU level 2 – 4 coaches.
