General Rugby Festival Information
Bournemouth Rugby are please to announce that we will be holding our annual rugby festival on the weekend of the 14th and 15th April 2018. Last year we had nearly 120 Mini teams, (Sunday) and approximately 40 Junior teams, (Saturday) competing in age groups ranging from U7 to U16 to ensure a positive rugby experience for your players. Saturday will see the U13 to U16 teams competing whilst Sunday will see the U7 to U12. Places are available on a first come first served basis.
Food will be available from several concessions onsite including a hog roast, burgers and chips.
DE Photo will be onsite for the whole weekend taking both team and action shots for you to purchase on the day or order when you get home.
Paramedic cover will be in place all weekend with a central control tent and first aid points at all age group control tents.
Saturday 14th April 2018
The Youth (U13 to U16)Tournament will kick off the weekend’s formalities at 9am with a full day’s rugby in the impressive grounds of Bournemouth Rugby Club. You will initially compete in groups before, depending on the number of teams in your age groups, progressing to cup, plate and shield competitions. Entrance will cost £90 per team, all teams must supply a referee.
Sunday 15th April 2018
Today will be the turn of the Mini’s to enjoy a full day’s rugby at Bournemouth Rugby Club. You will compete in groups in a round robin format ensuring that your team will play as much rugby as they are allowed to play in a one day festival in line with RFU guidelines, all teams will play the same amount of games in a friendly with no overall winner. Entrance costs £50 per team, all teams must supply a referee.

Accommodation can be arranged at Sandford Holiday Park which has plenty of onsite amenities to keep your group entertained! These include a heated indoor pool, tennis, table tennis, short mat bowls, crazy golf, multisport court for basketball and football, 2 outdoor play areas with a climbing wall and amusement arcade with Tenpin Bowlingo! The parks also offer a variety of restaurants and evening entertainment.

This year we are seeking businesses, clubs, schools, family and friends to advertise and sponsor this year’s Tournament. Get your business name and logo seen by 4-5,000 people in one weekend. An amazing rugby community with teams attending from across Dorset, Hampshire and the South
Program Advertising - Programs are A5 in size and sold on arrival at the entrance. Containing vital information attendees are dependent on this publication throughout the tournament weekend. Grayscale adverts cost £50 per half page and £100 for a whole page. The back page and inner back page are both available in full colour at £300 and £250 respectively.
Ball Sponsorship – Ten age groups will be competing during the weekend each needing 4-8 match balls, depending on the age group. This is your chance to sponsor match balls with 1 ball @ £20.00 or multiples thereof. Your name and logo will appear on a poster by each control tent as well as in the programme to give you recognition and thanks. Sponsor a ball, an age group or many age groups, the choice is yours.
Banner Advertising – A unique opportunity to display your business banner at the Tournament entrance. For £100 per banner your company name and logo will be displayed on the railings by the clubhouse for the whole weekend (banner to be supplied by participating businesses).
Flag display – Be at the forefront of the minds of players and supporters by flying your company flag pitch side throughout the Tournament. Each age group is allocated a control tent next to the pitch which acts as a focus throughout the Tournament, your flag can be flying at this location for £100 (flags to be supplied by participating businesses)
