Bournemouth Rugby have teamed up with The Stable Bournemouth for player of the month. Players are nominated by the team coaches and the winner is presented with voucher for The Stable Bournemouth, a pre-match lunch with a parent and to walk with the first team captain on a match day.

October Stable Player of the Month goes to Millie Jackson, a very worthy winner!

Millie joined the under 11's team last season and has been the only girl playing in a team full of boys, most of whom have played together since they were 6 years old.

She has integrated seamlessly into the team and works exceptionally hard every single week. A very well liked member of the team, Millie is definitely one of the stronger tacklers and helps shore up the defence on a weekly basis, leaving her mark on any opponent she faces.

No matter where we have played, she has always received glowing compliments from the opposition for her performances.

Millie has already won player of the week award once this month for her phenomenal defending and has put in some amazing performances against New Milton, Dorchester and Oakmedians, finished with a brilliant solo try against Bridport this weekend.

She has attended every mid week training session this season with a smile on her face. She is a consistent performer, never complains, and is a genuine pleasure to coach.

Millie only has this season left with the under 11's age group before she must move up to Girl's Rugby, but from what we have seen this month alone she is an excellent role model for any girl wishing to play rugby and one player who demonstrates Rugby's core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

Well done Millie!
