Bournemouth U14s is a thriving squad. We currently have 35-40 regular players of all abilities who meet and play during the weekend throughout the playing season (September-May).
As a squad we have an inclusive ethos where we play for the enjoyment of the game. We believe that this breeds a strong team spirit and helps develop the players' rugby playing skills and also their sporting maturity.
Our home ground is Chapel Gate, Bournemouth (near Bournemouth Airport). The club has extensive training facilities, a club house and ample parking.
We play teams from across the region (Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire and Somerset), and often hosts touring clubs from further afield.
The playing season culminates in a well-attended annual tournament whereby the club plays host to over 100 clubs over one weekend.
As a squad, we aim to go on tour at least every other year, recent destinations being Harlequins, London Welsh and Exeter.
Our lead coaches are Greg Pike and James Mills, who have been coaching at the club for the last 10 years. Greg is also the chairman of the club's Academy and Youth section, and James is the Club Secretary.
The squad has a number of coaches, all of whom are parent volunteers and have undergone RFU skills coaching and safeguarding training. All are DBS checked.
The team manager is Limor Feingold, who supports the coaches and deals with the more administrative tasks.
Limor is the best contact should you have any questions, and can be contacted via email Limor.Feingold@Bournemouth-Rugby.co.uk or mobile 0780 1281755.
The squad trains and plays on Sunday mornings from 10am-12pm. Training is at our home ground of Chapel Gate, and competitive fixtures are either home or away at the hosting club's venue.
We also hold a training session midweek on Wednesday evenings 6:30pm-8pm on floodlit training pitches.
